The new Better access to Mental health care initiative allows people with a diagnosed mental disorder to access psychological services under Medicare.  Clients need to be referred by a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan (Medicare item number 2710), or by a psychiatrist or pediatrician.  When making an appointment with your GP, it is recommended that patients ask of a long consultation.  For further information click on the PDF file below or contact our reception staff on 1300 850 552 or  (07) 3323 1709.
